TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is still monitoring the cyclonic rotation in the southwest of the Philippines which could affect Indonesia’s weather today, June 27, 2022. The cyclonic circulation formed a convergence area, leading to the growth of rain clouds in central Sulawesi, West Papua, and Papua.
The convergence area was also observed extending from Aceh to the northern part of the Malacca Strait, on the southern coast of Central Java to West Java, in East Java, in NTB to Bali, in the Java Sea, in the Banda Sea, in the Arafura Sea, in Maluku, and in the Karimata Strait.
Jambi was predicted to see a downpour with lightning. Meanwhile, regions predicted to experience moderate rain include Ambon, Manokwari, Kendari, Manado, and Medan.
The air temperature ranges from 19-33 degrees Celsius, with the lowest temperature in Bandung and the highest temperatures in Gorontalo, Surabaya, Pontianak, Palangkaraya, and Palembang.
When comparing the maximum air temperature in the Indonesian region and Mecca of Saudi Arabia. The BMKG warned Indonesian pilgrims to anticipate searing heat since the temperature in the holy land will likely be around 35-46 degrees Celsius. In Medina, the air temperature is 'colder' at 31-42 degrees Celsius.
