Earthquakes Hit North Luwu, Other Parts of Eastern Indonesia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 rocked North Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi early this morning, June 3, at 02:31 local time. The tectonic earthquake's center was 66 kilometers northeast of North Luwu.
The official website of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated that the point of the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and its location was at 2.12 south latitude and 120.55 east longitude.
Not just North Luwu, earthquakes also struck other areas in the eastern parts of Indonesia on Friday morning.
In Saparua, Maluku, an earthquake struck at 05:19 local time. Its center is in the sea, 15 kilometers southwest of Masohi at a depth of 10 kilometers.
In North Sulawesi, a 4.8-magnitude quake hit Kotamobagu at 04:19 local time. The epicenter was in the Maluku Sea, 116 kilometers southeast of Bolaang Uki City, North Sulawesi, at a depth of 80 kilometers.
