TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian fintech startup, Fintek Karya Nusantara (Finarya)—better known as LinkAja—has decided to lay off hundreds of its workers. LinkAja Group's head of corporate secretary Reka Sadewo said that the termination was in line with the reorganization of human resources based on the workers' relevance and function to the company's current business focus and objectives.

"Change is something that constantly happens in a company that is growing. Adjustments in the company will of course continue to occur," said Reka in a written statement received Thursday, May 26.

However, the e-wallet service ensured that business operations will continue as usual.

"Any changes made within the company will not affect the quality of our services, as well as our commitment to always provide the best for our users," he said.

He added that as a fast-growing startup company, LinkAja is expected to continue to be agile and adaptive in making business adjustments to ensure optimal growth. This may include significant changes that will affect several aspects of the company's operations, including HR reorganization.

He emphasized that the adjustment carefully took into account the interests of all LinkAja stakeholders, including the employees. The plan will also follow and comply with the rules and regulations that have been outlined by the government, and adhere to the principles of good corporate governance.
