TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Java Police announced a drug bust on Monday evening against Indonesian actor Gary Iskak along with four other people at a house in Ciwastra, Bandung. Police say the men were caught red-handed consuming methamphetamine, or meth, and are now detained at the West Java Police jail.
Police spokesperson grand commissioner Ibrahim Tompo on Tuesday confirmed the arrest and confiscated equipment used by the men for the suspected drug abuse along with leftover meth at the scene.
“They were arrested last night at around 18:00 Indonesian Western Time (WIB) at a house in the Pasir Putih area along with four other people,” said Ibrahim to Tempo on May 24. “The urine test conducted against the five arrested people came back positive for consumption of methamphetamine.”
Police only released limited information related to the identities of the four people arrested with Gary Iskak and only said their initials are TR, DW, AR, and SP.
Tempo did not receive a definite answer when Tompo was asked whether the police have named the men as suspects of illegal drug abuse, and only said that an investigation is still ongoing.
