TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Transportation Agency released a new regulation regarding the operating hours of public transportation in the city, including Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT. The policy is outlined in the agency’s decree No. 251 of 2022 concerning technical guidelines for transport capacity and operational time during PPKM Level 2.
The agency head Syafrin Liputo inked the decree on May 10, 2022. “This decision takes effect on the date it is stipulated,” he wrote.
The limited operating hours apply to six public transportation modes in the capital. The detail is as follow:
Transjakarta bus service is available from 05:00 until 22:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB)
Regular public transportation in route opens at 05:00 until 22.00 WIB
MRT Jakarta from 05:00 until 23:00 WIB
Light rail transit or LRT from 05:30 until 22:30 WIB
Water transport is available from 05:00 until 18:00 WIB
Night transport is ready from 22:01 from 24:00 WIB
The operating hours of public transportation infrastructure and its supporting facilities follow the provision. Syafrin also noted that the passenger capacity is no longer limited. However, passengers must still comply with the predetermined health protocols against COVID-19.
