TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s archery team on Wednesday successfully took home four gold medals at the Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center, Vietnam, in the SEA Games 2021.
The first Indonesian gold medal came from the men’s team recurve that comprises Riau Ega Agatha Salsabila, Arif Dwi Pangestu, and Bagas Alvyanto Prastyadi. They collectively beat Vietnam with a score of 6-2, Antaranews reported.
The second gold was secured by the mixed team recurve by debutant Rezza Oktavia and Riau Ega Agatha against Malaysia.
This was followed by Rezza competing in the women’s single recurve winning against Thailand with a final score of 6-0.
Reza, who competed in the Indonesian National Games (PON) 2021 representing Papua, was ecstatic over the two gold medals won in her first-ever outing at SEA Games. She went on to commend Riau Ega’s role as a senior athlete that helped her perform in the team’s recurve class.
