TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Yogyakarta Governor Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X or Sultan HB X welcomed delegates of G20 countries in a Welcome Dinner and Cultural Performance at Prambanan Temple, Sleman Yogyakarta, Tuesday evening, May 10, 2022.
“Yogyakarta is not only a symbol of Javanese culture and tourism but also a producer of creative economic products in Indonesia,” said Sultan, adding that the province has adequate human resources in the creative economy sector.
“Creative products exist from the manifestation process of people's love for their culture,” added the King of Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat.
With the potential of human resources, he stated that the investment climate in the region is still widely open. The G20 event in Indonesia, he argued, was expected to open an inclusive labor market.
“Yogya has a dynamic business environment, a stable economic and political climate, an infrastructure that keeps developing and is rich in quality resources,” Sultan remarked.
Additionally, with the current bureaucratic reform, the investment process in Yogyakarta will be easier, especially in licensing arrangements. “Automation and modernization of the licensing process continue to be developed in order to encourage ease and transparency of investment,” he said.
In terms of human resources, Sultan HB X emphasized that Yogyakarta residents are persistent and friendly people who prioritize the value of tolerance in everyday life. “Yogyakarta people are always open to the current development without losing their identity,” he said.
