Jakarta Denies Requiring Civil Servants to Buy Formula E Tickets

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria rebutted issues that state apparatus (ASN) are required to purchase tickets of Formula E which is slated to be held on June 4, 2022.
“There’s no way Jakarta requires ASN to buy tickets,” said Riza in Jakarta, March 7.
However, he opined that the city administration welcomed any figures who encourage the public to grab a ticket of the international electric motor racing event. “Figures giving advice [to buy the tickets] are welcome,” he said.
Tickets of Formula E have not been on sale yet until now. City-owned developer Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the event organizer has not yet announced ticket prices and the number of available tickets.
Jakpro president director Widi Amanasto claimed the tickets will be available in March 2022. However, he stopped short of detailing the prices as they are waiting for the Formula E Operation’s (FEO) approval.
Jakpro is still focusing on the construction of the Formula E circuit in Ancol, which is being carried out by developer PT Jaya Konstruksi Manggala Pratama. As of Sunday, the circuit's progress had reached 52 percent.
