TEMPO.CO, JakartaThe Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) observed the movement of 95S tropical cyclone seeds in the Indian Ocean, southern areas of East Java, with a maximum wind speed of 25 knots and the lowest pressure of 1002 mb. This induces an increase in wind speed which is associated with low-level jet to more than 25 knots in the waters south of East Java.

This system is predicted to move to the southeast areas and has the potential to become a tropical cyclone in the low category today. The conditions can increase the potential for rain cloud growth, wind speed, and high wave around tropical cyclone seeds and low-level jet areas.

Therefore, areas that potentially see heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds today, March 4, include East Java, Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, Bali, NTB, NTT, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, and West Papua.

Similar to the day before, Jakarta was also not included in the list of regions with the potential for extreme weather today. BMKG also informed that today's air temperature ranges from 20 - 33 degrees Celsius, with the lowest temperature in Bandung and the highest temperature in Pontianak and Ambon.
