MotoGP Mandalika; NTB Praises Riders for Promoting Tourism in Lombok

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) government deemed the 2022 MotoGP pre-season testing at Mandalika Circuit held from February 11-13 a blessing to promote tourism.

“Alhamdulillah (Praise to God), NTB receives a blessing from the MotoGP pre-season events. We get to promote tourism free from the riders. They travel in the ‘bubble’ areas and promote the beauty of Mandalika, Lombok,” said the province’s Tourism Agency head H Yusron Hadi on Sunday, Feb. 13.

Hadi said the pre-season test brought various positive impacts for the province, not only on the tourism sector but also on the economic growth.

“This event has a lot of benefits for NTB, including in terms of tourism promotion and economic growth. In the future, there will also be more gates for promotion. So we all have to be prepared,” he added.

Central Lombok Tourism Agency head Lendek Jayadi also shared a similar view that the international motorcycle racing event was a great moment for tourism promotion.

“This MotoGP is a great promotional moment, especially with the help of the riders. We surely need to create an extraordinary image of the region,” he added.

Jayadi thus encouraged all stakeholders and the local community to keep developing tourism in NTB province to spoil tourists.
