Indonesia's 'Penyalin Cahaya' Ranks Admirably on Netflix Top 10

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Entering its second week of airing on Netflix, Indonesian movie  'Photocopier', or 'Penyalin Cahayain its original title, broke into the streaming service’s global top 10 list of most watched movies across 26 countries, according to the Netflix Top 10 website which keeps tabs on weekly top 10 most watched series and films. 

The movie directed by Wregas Bhanuteja premiered globally on the platform on January 13, starring Shenina Cinnamon as lead actress. 

'Photocopier' ranked second most watched movie in the website’s non-English films category during the January 17-23, 2022 period. Top10.netflix.com classifies movies into categories based on the show’s format and language used: Fim (English), TV (English), Film (Non-English), and TV (Non-English).

Globally, the film has been watched for 6.92 million hours until its second week of airing with viewers coming from Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Latin American countries such as Argentina, Bahama, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Uruguay.

Back at home, 'Penyalin Cahaya' ranks as the most watched Netflix film from January 17-23.
