TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said the Cileunyi - Sumedang - Dawuan or Cisumdawu toll road construction project which consists of six sections will be finished and connected to the Cipali Toll Road in June 2022.
“[The section] from the Cipali Toll Road to the West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati Toll Road has also been completed, so by mid-2022, people will be able to go to the airport directly in approximately 40 minutes via the Cisumdawu toll road,” said Ridwan who is familiarly known as Kang Emil in a written statement, Monday, January 24.
The 11.45-kilometer toll road section 1 of Cileunyi - Pamulihan would start operating this morning, January 25, at 6 a.m. He said the toll road section would still be free of charge during the opening period.
“We are waiting for public input about this newly-operated toll road to provide better quality,” he added.
According to him, with the increasing connectivity of toll roads in West Java, the regional economy could continue to recover.
“This is also President Jokowi's commitment in West Java as there are 6 to 7 toll roads currently under construction and one of them is the Gedebage - Tasikmalaya - Cilacap Toll Road,” said Ridwan Kamil.
