Police to Investigate Bank Indonesia's Alleged Data Leak

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian National Police stated that they will investigate the alleged data leak of Bank Indonesia (BI) by a hacker group called Conti Ransomware Gang.
The Police Chief of Public Relations, Gen. Inspector Dedi Prasetyo, said he received the news and would communicate with the central bank, regarding the matter. "It will be discussed with BI," he said Thursday, January 20.
The news of the alleged hacking was first uploaded by a Twitter account @darktracer_nt, an intelligence website. It tweeted: "[ ALERT] Conti ransomware gang has announced 'BANK OF INDONESIA' on the victim list."
The post also showed a screenshot of a website httpps://www.bo.go.id and an address Jalan MH Thamrin 2, Jakarta, from the hacker group's site. It also showed a file named corp.bo.go.id with a caption stating 838 files size 487.09 MB. The data that was allegedly originated from BI was uploaded on Thursday, January 20.
