Booster Now Available in Jakarta's Thousand Islands

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said that booster vaccines are already available in the Thousand Islands. He said that health centers in the islands have begun giving booster services yesterday on January 13.
"Today we start in the Thousand Islands," he said at the City Hall, Central Jakarta, Thursday, January 13.
Riza said Jakarta residents can get booster doses in all sub-district health centers in Jakarta, 42 in total. Yesterday, the capital injected boosters to 2,200 people.
According to the deputy governor, the capital government is targeting booster vaccines for people aged 18 years and over. "But we will prioritize the elderly first," he said.
The Jakarta government will coordinate with the central government regarding the stock of booster vaccines. Riza said the stock of vaccines would be adjusted according to need. So far, he said, there is no problem with stock.
According to the Indonesian Health Ministry, people who have received Sinovac as their primary dose can be injected with 0.25 ml of Astra Zeneca or 0.15 ml of Pfizer.
Meanwhile, people with Astra Zeneca primaries can be given a 0.25 ml of Moderna or 0.15 ml Pfizer vaccine.
