184 Covid-19 Patients Admitted to Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 184 Covid-19 patients were admitted to emergency hospital of Wisma Atlet Kemayoran for isolation as per 8 a.m. Jakarta time, today, Jan. 8.

"There are 1,606 inpatients, [from] previously 1,422 people, added with 184 people," said Head of Information for Kogabwilhan I, Colonel Marines Aris Mudian, in his written statement Saturday, Jan. 8.

The 658 male and 948 female patients, said Aris, are undergoing isolation at Tower 5 and 6 of Wisma Atlet Kemayoran.

Based on their data, the emergency hospital has accommodated 131,862 patients since March 23, 2020, until today. 128,601 people have recovered, 596 dies, and 130,256 admitted to other hospitals.

The additional number of patients at Wisma Atlet in line with the increased Covid-19 cases in the capital city. Jakarta Health Department head of disease prevention and control Dwi Oktavia conveyed that there were 300 new cases on January 7, 2022.

"Which 230 of them were people who traveled abroad," she said in a written statemnt.

Meanwhile, the active cases also rose by 224, totaling the patients undergoing isolation to 1,394 people.
