Garuda Indonesia, PT Liga Indonesia Baru Ink Strategic Partnership

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State airliner Garuda Indonesia becomes the official airline for PT Liga Indonesia Baru through the strategic partnership inked by both parties. Garuda Indonesia director of Service and Trade Ade R. Susardi and LIB President Director Akhmad Hadian Lukita signed the agrement at I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali.

"Through the various competitions held in Indonesia's big cities, this partnership is hoped to be able to not only support the improvement of national sports achievements but also as a step of the national economic recovery by supporting the tourism sector through sports," said Ade on Friday night, January 7, 2022.

Ade stated that Garuda Indonesia will fully support all the series of activities held by Liga Indonesia Baru. The partnership lasts for the next three years until December 31, 2024.

Garuda's scope of cooperation include flight service for all management, athletes, contingens, and supporters under the Liga Indonesia Baru. The company will give special discounts and counter check-in to ease the accessibility of pre-flight processes for all athletes and crews.

The partnership also covers the marketing until the potential of a digital app development as the new ecosystem and channel for both parties. Ade said that his office will provide support in accessibility and ease of flight service for the national sports activities.

President Director of Liga Indonesia Baru, Akhmad Hadian Lukita, said that the collaboration will give more benefits for the national soccer. "We hope that this partnership will assist the operational of the clubs in professional comptitions," he said.

PT Liga Indonesia Baru is the operator of national soccer tournament under the PSSI. LIB runs several national tournaments, such as Liga 1 and Liga 1 Youth.
