Jakarta Deputy Gov Thanks Giring Ganesha for Inspecting Formula E Circuit

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria claimed he did not feel offended but rather thanked the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) chairman Giring Ganesha for inspecting the location of Formula E race tracks in Ancol, North Jakarta.
“There’s nothing wrong with checking the location. In fact, please do check all programs,” said Riza at Jakarta City Hall, as quoted from Antara, Thursday, January 6.
According to the deputy governor, other city programs, such as reservoirs and infiltration wells, are also not closed for inspection by regional representatives and residents.
Jakarta DPRD members, the Gerindra politician added, have the right to supervise programs run by the executive.
“It means DPRD members work according to their main duties and functions which include supervising programs,” said Riza.
On Wednesday, January 5, PSI chairman Giring Ganesha carried out a sudden inspection on the location of Formula E. Via his social media, Giring voiced criticism that no workers building the race tracks while the international event is only five months away.
