TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government decided to increase the enforcement of public mobility restrictions or PPKM status for Jakarta from level 1 to level 2 as stipulated in Home Affairs Ministerial Instruction No. 01 of 2022 on COVID-19 PPKM Level 3-1 in Java and Bali regions.
“Especially to the Governor of Jakarta, [the capital’s] regencies/cities are under level 2 (PPKM),” as the instruction read.
During PPKM Level 2, limited face-to-face learning at schools can still be applied by referring to the joint ministerial decree of the Minister of Education and Culture, Research and Technology, the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Home Affairs.
The operating hours of supermarkets or shopping malls, however, are limited until 9 p.m. with a maximum of 75 percent capacity.
Eateries and restaurants are allowed to open at 50 percent capacity and serve customers until 9 p.m. Besides, the dine-in time limit is set at 60 minutes.
Places of worship can also be open at 75 percent capacity, “under more stringent health protocols and must adhere to technical provisions issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs.”
At PPKM Level 2, public facilities, such as parks, tourist attractions, and others are allowed to welcome visitors at a maximum capacity of 25 percent. The odd-even traffic policy along the road to and from tourist sites remains valid from Friday at 12:00 until Sunday at 18:00.
