TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta government has allowed karaoke venues to reopen and operate as authorities impose level 2 of Community Activities Restrictions (PPKM). The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office has set a maximum indoor visitor capacity of 25 percent.
"The maximum capacity is 25 percent of visitors and the use of the singing rooms is limited to a maximum of 50 percent of the number of rooms available," the Office chief, Andhika Permata, said in a decree signed on November 29.
The Tourism Office Decree no.738/2021 on the implementation of Level 2 PPKM for the tourism business sector stated that karaoke venues can open from 11:00 to 21:00. Visitors are only allowed to be in the karaoke rooms for a maximum of three hours.
"They have to make reservations online first and pay non-cash," Andhika said.
All visitors and employees are also mandated to undergo screening using the PeduliLindung app, as well as implementing health protocols. The venues are mandated to periodically disinfect all equipment and supplies in all areas or facilities.
Jakarta is implementing Level 2 PPKM starting November 30 until December 13.
