TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Home Affairs Ministry on Tuesday revealed that it will publicly announce the serological prevalence survey, which is one of the aspects the government uses to enforce the Covid-19 public activity restriction (PPKM) level 3 - which has been cancelled - ahead of Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

The director general of regional administration Safrizal said on December 7 the data will be presented “in general as already announced by the Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments.”

This survey shows antibody immunity formed through vaccinations and natural formation from exposure to Covid-19, which was conducted by the Home Affairs Ministry along with the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry spokesperson Siti Nadia Tarmizi says the team is currently finalizing the survey and is the reason why it is yet able to be presented publicly.

“[The report] is still in possession of the research team,” Tarmizi wrote in a text message on December 7.

Reported earlier, Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investments Luhut Pandjaitan claimed the serological prevalence survey shows that the Indonesian society has formed high antibody levels against Covid-19. He said this is the reason for the cancellation of the enforcement of the PPKM level 3.
