Greysia Polii Nominated in BWF's Athletes' Commission Candidacy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia's women's doubles badminton player, Greysia Polii, is among the candidate list of Badminton World's Federation (BWF) Athlete's Commission. She, along with other eight athletes, will compete to fill six vacant positions.
The eight athletes include Adam Hall (Scotland), Hadia Hosny (Egypt), Iris Wang (USA), Kim Soyeong (South Korea), Pusarla V. Sindhu (India), Robin Tabeling (Netherlands), Soraya Aghaeihajiagha (Iran) and Zheng Si Wei (China).
Th BWF Commission Members' election will be held on December 17. It coincides with the BWF World Championship 2021 in Huelva, Spain, on December 12-19.
Graysia spokes on her nomination as candidate, "I want to help my fellow [athletes] in achieving their dreams to compete at international tournaments."
The current leader of the commission is Marc Zwiebler from Germany. The Athletes' Commission aims to represent the needs and views of the athletes to the council and the committee of BWF. The future leader of the commission will be decided later on by the members. The elected leader will become a member of the voting board and has the responsibility to advise the committee and the board on matters relevant to athletes.
