Here are the Rules of Restrictions During Christmas and New Year Holidays

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Nearing Christmas day and New Year's eve, a new instruction has been issued by Tito Karnavian, Minister of Internal Affairs to make countermeasures against Covid-19 and preventing a new wave.

Through Minister of Internal Affairs Instruction No. 62/2021, Tito has instructed each governors, regents and mayors to:

A.  Reactivate each regions Covid-19 Task Force starting from December 20.

B. Maintain 5M (wear masks, wash hands, distancing, less mobility, avoid crowds) and 3T (testing, tracing and treatment).

C. Accelerates vaccination, especially for elders.

D. Coordinating with Region Leaders Forum and other  incumbents such as religion leaders, public organizations, business owners.

E.  Announcing the bans of Mudik (Homecoming: going back to one's hometown) during Christmas and New Year and going out unless it's an urgent matter along with limiting the list of people allowed to travels.

F. Implementing Public Mobility Restriction (PPKM) Lvl 3 and maintain strict health protocols at church, malls and tourist sites.

G. Prohibits a leave, vacation to Civil Workers, Army (TNI), Police Forces, laborers during Christmas and New year.

H. No School Holidays.

I. PPKM Lvl 3 to be applied at Weddings and such.

J. No Arts and Sports Events from December 24 to January 2.

K. Close all plaza, town squares from December 31 to January 1.

L. Relocate Merchants, Street vendors to maintain distancing

M. Optimizes PeduliLindungi app, PCR test for long distance travels and self-quarantine or quarantined in places provided by the government.

N. Transportation Agency and Satpol PP (Public Order Agency) to supervise checkpoint in each region.

O. Mobilize Satpol PP, Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, firefighters to improve awareness and countermeasures with a potential of public disturbance and natural disasters such as floods earthquake etc.
