TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) local administration on Monday officially no longer requires local travelers within the region to be antigen and PCR tested so long as they have received complete Covid-19 vaccine doses.
“Travelers using air and sea transport within the NTT region that have been completely vaccinated are freed from antigen and PCR test requirements,” said NTT transportation agency head Isyak Nuka in accordance with the NTT governor’s instruction on November 22.
This policy was introduced by the local administration considering the high necessity of transportation between islands that local NTT residents rely on. The region also currently imposes a slackened covid-19 health restriction of PPKM level 2 and has a high vaccination rate.
However, travelers who have only received their first Covid-19 vaccine shot are still subjected to the antigen or PCR travel requirement.
“Travelers must obey health protocols and register themselves in the eHAC Indonesia tracing app,” said Isyak Nuka.
