TEMPO.CO, JakartaDepok Mayor Mohammad Idris abruptly decided to stop limited face-to-face learning or PTMT at schools starting today, November 18, and call for learning from home (BDR).

The decision is noted in the Depok Mayoral Circular No. 8.20/648/SATGAS/2021 concerning the temporary suspension of limited face-to-face learning.

“Given the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases during PTMT in several regions, it is necessary to immediately carry out a temporary suspension of PTMT,” said Idris in the policy, Thursday, November 18.

He said the temporary suspension would take effect for ten days from November 19 to 29, 2021.

“During the temporary suspension, each education unit must immediately re-checked the implementation of the health protocols,” the Mayor underlined.

Idris said that the temporary suspension of face-to-face learning at schools was driven by the rampant COVID-19 infection clusters at schools in Pancoran Mas District.

“The Depok City Education Agency and all education units must immediately consolidate the implementation and supervision of this circular," Idris concluded.
