TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice president of state-telecommunication firm Telkom Indonesia Sabri Rasyid on Wednesday acknowledged there were internet connection problems from its subsidiary, Indihome, which were voiced by its customers on social platforms.
The VP said Indihome technical team is currently looking into what caused the widespread connection errors as the problem was only felt in some areas.
“We apologize for the inconvenience,” said Sabri to Tempo on November 17.
Customer complaints were voiced on Twitter and even topped the social media’s trending topic of discussions. Many also uploaded images of their real time internet speed at the time.
This was not the first time Indihome customers faced connection issues as the same thing happened on September 19. The culprit behind this problem stemmed in the JaSuka (Java, Sumatra, and Kalimantan) submarine internet cable which is located 20 meters at the ocean bed.
