TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Formula E Managing Director at Jakpro Gunung Kartiko said the ticket price of the international electric car racing event has not been yet formulated. However, he ensured that the price will not be as expensive as those for upcoming events at Mandalika Circuit, Lombok.
“Don't worry, the tickets will not be pricey and as expensive as [ticket for events at] Mandalika, I presume,” said Gunung during Tempo’s Instagram Live event @tempodotco on Monday night, November 15.
The city-run developer Jakpro, he added, will recalculate the tariff considering that the international event is for the public.
Mandalika International Street Circuit will host the World Superbike (WSBK) event on November 19-21, 2021. Quoting from the official website of the ticket sales channel Xplorin Indonesia, the ticket prices range from Rp172,500 to Rp22.4 million.
Jakarta is scheduled as the host of Formula E on June 4, 2022, as noted in the eighth season of the Formula E race calendar set by the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Paris on October 15, 2021.
Formula E Operation (FEO) will first check the alternative locations for the international electric car racing circuit as the Jakarta government has not yet received a permit to use the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta.
According to Gunung, the Formula E circuit check initially scheduled for October was postponed to November and then to December 2021. “It takes a process [to determine this],” he said.
