TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-run electricity firm PLN Cilacap said it had restored the electricity in Cilacap of Central Java on Sunday, November 14, following the outage due to the fire at a fuel storage tank at Pertamina's oil refinery complex.
“From 242 powerhouses affected by the blackout at 12 p.m, PLN Cilacap has managed to restore the electricity supply to 10,890 customers until 15 p.m,” said PLN Cilacap Manager Bramantyo Anggun Pambudi in a written statement, Monday, November 15.
He explained the network security measures taken to protect the company’s installation assets so as not to cause more damage that would further burden the public.
“After the officers checked the condition of the network, we immediately carried out normalization as soon as possible, taking into account safety and security,” he underlined.
The areas affected by the blackout included around Jalan MT Haryono, Banjaran, Jalan Kalisapu, Industrial Estate, Jalan Flores, Jalan Kalimantan, Sidanegara residential complex, Jalan Suasa, Jalan Tamrin, Donan, and surrounding areas.
“We apologize for the inconvenience. For further information regarding electricity disruptions are accessible via the PLN mobile app or reach PLN Contact Center 123,” the PLN Cilacap manager concluded.
