Mataram Offers Free Hop-on, Hop-off Bus Tour Across Town

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Association of Indonesian Travel Agents (Astindo) of West Nusa Tenggara is offering a free tourism service. Starting Thursday, November 11, tourists and the public can tour the city on shuttle buses from Lombok City Tour.
The hop-on, hop-off bus tour is provided through a collaboration with the local Transportation Agency and DAMRI.
"This city tour program is open to anyone who wants to travel around the city of Mataram and its surroundings for free," said the Chairman of Astindo NTB, Sahlan M. Saleh after the Lombok City Tour Bus Launching.
According to Sahlan, the city tour is not just about traveling around the city. "The tours comes with a story-telling, providing information about the destinations and sightseeing objects," he said.
To hop on the bus, reservation is required, whether via an Astindo membership or come directly to the Astindo office at number 49 Langko Road, Mataram, or at the Islamic Centre.
The city tour is available twice a day from 09:00 to 15:00 local time. The service will be free until December 2021.
