Indonesian Women's Basketball Team to Face Lebanon in FIBA Asian Cup Semifinal

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian women's basketball national team will challenge Lebanon in the semifinals of the 2021 FIBA Asian Cup (FIBA Asian Cup) Division B. The Indonesians made it through to the final four after defeating Iran in a qualifying match in Amman, Jordan, on Wednesday local time.
Playing against Iran, the Indonesians played better compared to a game against host Jordan yesterday. Trailing 10-12 points behind, the team managed to end the second quarter scoring 28 points.
The team also recorded 45 percent accuracy for open shots.
The first half ended with a lead 38 against 25, with Indonesian player Agustin Gradita Retong scoring a three-pointer at a minute 18 seconds before the final whistle. In the final quarter, the Indonesians scored 18 additional points to lock their win at 76 against 68.
The Indonesian team will face Group A winner Lebanon in the semifinals on November 12.
