TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, Sandiaga Uno, said the vaccination rate in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is the main requirement for the establishment of 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) in Mandalika Circuit, Lombok.
Sandiaga's ministry has collaborated with various stakeholders to accelerate vaccinations for NTB residents to welcome the WSBK 2021.
"Today, we work fast together because in a few weeks, on November 19, the World Superbike will be held and supervised by President Joko Widodo. This is the main requirement for the international event succession," said Sandiaga during his visit to Pesona Tatsura Vaccination Centre, Central Lombok.
WSBK is marked as the revival of tourism and creative economy, be it in Lombok or Indonesia. This International event will show the world that Indonesia is ready to host the G20.
The vaccination rate in NTB on Tuesday has reached 58.2% for the first dose and 24.7% for the second dose. As for Lombok residents, 70.4% and 31.8% for the first and second dose, respectively.
"As of today, 602,438 people get vaccinated in 71 different locations, which has exceeded our expectation," he added.
The vaccination is expected to suppress the Covid-19 infection so the health and economy will return to normal.
