TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -  The Badminton Tournament French Open will begin today, October 26, 2021. Indonesia has send 10 players for it, including the Men's Doubles Fajar Alfian / Muhammad Rian Ardianto who will begin their match immediately.

Initially, Indonesia sent 18 players to participate in the tournament which has a total prize of US$600.000 or around 8.5 billion of Indonesian Rupiah. Two Men's Singles players, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Jonatan Christie are ruled out after suffering from injury at Denmark Open last week.

The Women's Doubles Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu are also absent, as it was stated by Graysia she does not plan to participate in the next European Tour.

Other players which were signed up by Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI) are also unable to play due to the vaccination policy and the quarantine period of COvid-19 in France. Athletes that went from Indonesia are required to be quarantined for 14 days before playing due to the Sinovac Vaccine that they took has not yet been given approval by the European Medical Association or EMA.

Therefore, only several players that participate in Denmark Open 2021 may play in French Open 2021.
