TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s men's badminton team will meet Malaysia in the Thomas Cup quarter-finals as the result of today’s draw, October 14.
The match will take place at Ceres Arena, Aarhus, Denmark, on Friday, October 15, starting at 18:30 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). The action of the nation’s team including Anthony Sinisuka Ginting will be available to witness via TVRI live broadcast.
Indonesia and Malaysia are in the top half of the draw. In the same section, there is Denmark vs India. The bottom half is occupied by Thailand vs China and Korea vs Japan.
Indonesia is qualified for the quarter-finals as the winner of Group A. Meanwhile, Malaysia qualified as the runner-up of Group D.
Previously, Indonesia and Malaysia had met 17 times in the Thomas Cup. Indonesia has won 12 titles and Malaysia has had 5 titles.
