Fire Breaks Out at PLN's Powerhouse in Kebon Jeruk; 8 Firetrucks Deployed

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A fire has been ravaging an electricity powerhouse owned by state-run electricity firm PLN in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta this morning on October 7.
As of 8:50 local time, the city’s Fire and Rescue Agency was trying to extinguish the blaze, mobilizing eight firetrucks.
“Eight units (firetrucks) with 40 personnel are deployed,” as quoted from a written statement of the agency’s command center, Thursday.
The fire hit the electricity powerhouse on Jalan Gili Sampeng, Kebon Jeruk, since around 7 this morning. As seen from videos circulating on social media, black smoke emits from the electricity substation.
Until this news was published, there was no information on the initial cause of the fire, losses, and casualties in the incident.
