TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - Indonesia’s new airline Super Air Jet launched a new flight route connecting Surabaya and Jakarta on a daily regular basis via Juanda International Airport in Sidoarjo (SUB) and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Tangerang starting October 22, 2021.
“The inaugural flight is scheduled for October 22 with a frequency of twice a day,” said the airline’s President Director, Ari Azhar, in a written statement Tuesday, October 4.
In its inaugural flight, the airline offers super-efficient one-way fares, starting from Rp472,800 (Jakarta to Surabaya) and Rp488,800 (Surabaya to Jakarta).
The flight will be available daily twice a day using an Airbus 320-200 with a capacity of 180 economy class seats.
Ari Azhar expressed optimism that the new airline could target the millennial category market in Jakarta and around western and eastern Java. “We really understand that millennials travelers are still restless about traveling by air transport. So Super Air Jet on the Jakarta - Surabaya - Jakarta route will answer today's travel demands,” he said.
Ari Azhar said the Surabaya - Jakarta - Surabaya flight route is one of the super-popular air routes among tourists as well as people in the business and education sectors, and government.
