MRT Jakarta Opens Co-Working Space at HI Roundabout Station

TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta's mass rapid transit operator PT MRT Jakarta is optimizing its non-fare box revenues by opening a co-working space at HI Roundabout Station. The inauguration and the launching event were attended by Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno and MRT Jakarta President Director William Sabandar.

“For us, this innovation and adaptation must be appreciated. We hope this business space will encourage 17 creative economy subsectors to develop further,” Sandiaga said.

William explained he saw the market opportunity and the rising popularity and need among society for co-working studios. Thus, MRT facilitated business spaces and continued to examine the potential of workspaces at other stations.

“This is also in line with the character of MRT Jakarta as a provider of a lifestyle business for the community. This is the first 'business space' in MRT Jakarta,” William added.

This MRT Business Space provides live streaming studio/podcast studio facilities, meeting rooms, event spaces, co-working spaces, and licensing consulting services. It is managed by the MRT’s vOffice as a provider of shared office services such as virtual offices in a number of countries. The space is also equipped with a wireless internet connection.

MRT Business Space is open from Monday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is priced at Rp50,000 per hour for a live box and Rp250,000 per hour for a meeting room.

Until December 2021, people can enjoy the co-working space for free. To book a space, people can access the vOffice page https://voffice.co.id/.
