TEMPO.CO, Depok - The University of Indonesia’s (UI) Computer Science Faculty offers 16 courses of computer science and information system through its massive open online course (MOOC) program. The online courses are open to graduate and postgraduate students for the next semester.
Dean Petrus Mursanto said the MOOC program provided the widest possible opportunity for people to obtain the same quality education as experienced by UI students.
“The access to the learning is highly flexible. It is self-paced learning, meaning that it can be accessed online without being limited by distance or time,” he said on Thursday, September 30.
Petrus explained the courses in the MOOC program were led by experts in their respective fields. Each subject consists of three to four semester credit systems (SKS) that are set at Rp1 million per SKS. A number of SKS are also offered free.
The MOOC program has an evaluation of the student’s performance at the end of the semester. Students taking a credit-earning subject will receive grades in the form of an academic transcript issued officially by UI.
A complete list of courses offered by the UI’s Faculty of Computer Science, as well as fees per SKS, can be accessed via its official page https://cs.ui.ac.id/mooc/.
