DPR Approves 2022 State Budget

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives (DPR) today approved the 2022 State Budget and Expenditure Draft. All participants of the plenary meeting at the parliament building, chaired by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani, approved the draft.
The 2022 State Budget agreed to a deficit of Rp868.02 trillion, which is lower than this year's Rp1,006.38. The deficit-to-GDP ratio assumption is also lower at 4.85 percent compared to 2021's 5.7 percent.
State revenue is set at Rp1,846.14 trillion, while expenditure is targeted at Rp2,714.16 trillion.
For macro assumptions, economic growth is agreed at 5.2 percent, while inflation rate is estimated at 3.0 percent.
The rupiah exchange rate is assumed at Rp14,350 per US dollar. The ICP is pegged at US$63 per barrel, and oil lifting volume at 703,000 barrels per day (bpd).
The DPR also approved some of the development targets set in the draft including an open unemployment rate within a range of 5.5 to 6.3 percent, poverty average between 8.5 and 9 percent, and a Gini ratio of 0.376 to 0.378.
