TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Health Ministry’s chief digital transformation office Setiaji on Monday said the coronavirus tracing app PeduliLindungi will soon be able to be accessed in other popular mobile applications such as Gojek, Grab, Tokopedia, Traveloka, Tiket, Dana, Cinema XXI, LinkAja, up to Jakarta’s app Jaki.

He claims features that exist in the tracing app will be available in the aforementioned platforms and is planned to be launched next month in October.

“It will be launched in October. There are processes where we would need several models able to be accessed by many people,” Setiaji wrote in a statement cited from the Cabinet Secretary’s Office website.

For people who do not own smartphones and plan to travel by train or air travel will be able to show their Covid-19 test results and vaccine certificates as it is filed in a database together with each person’s ID Card number or NIK, which is mandated in booking travel tickets.

“We have applied this ticket integration in airports. The data will be validated as tickets are booked for railway transport,” said the Health Ministry digital transformation office chief Setiaji on September 27, Bisnis.com reported. “Results for PCR and antigen tests will be there.”

Moreover, he explained that places and locations that are yet integrated into the PeduliLindungi app, people can manually access the mobile app to show their current status regarding Covid-19 to enter the location in the ‘self check’ feature.
