Indonesia to Showcase Jewelry Craft in Singapore Early December

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia will showcase jewelry crafts from several provinces at the Singapore International Jewelry Expo (SiJE) 2021. The event will be held from December 2 to 5, 2021.
Indonesia will be a partner country for the first international jewelry exhibition in the "endemic new normal" era in Singapore.
Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryo Pratomo said that Indonesia has many unique jewelry crafts made by talented and creative jewelry designers.
"Indonesia has precious gemstone resources," Tommy said in his opening remarks for the SiJE web seminar 'The Truth behind Gemstone Authentication', the Indonesian Embassy said in a press statement released Friday, September 24, 2021.
Tommy said that Indonesia's jewelry exports (HS Code 71) to Singapore was worth USD2.97 billion in 2020. The export rate has been on a positive trend of 10.01 percent since 2016.
In 2019, jewelry exports reached USD3.23 billion in 2019, the highest recorded.
In 2020, Indonesia's entire non-oil and gas exports to Singapore were USD8.5 billion. The year's total trade value between the two nations was USD23 billion.
