TEMPO.CO, JakartaState-owned airport operator Angkasa Pura II or AP II mandates all international passengers arriving at Soekarno-Hatta Airport to undergo Covid-19 tests. AP II noted that in the first three days of its implementation—from September 19 to 21, PCR tests have been conducted on all 4,011 international passengers, including 1,997 Indonesian migrant workers.

"Everyone took the PCR test at Terminal 3 before processing immigration, and then headed towards the quarantine location. There were no international passengers who did not take the PCR test," AP II president director Muhammad Awaluddin said in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 23.

The passengers must take either the isothermal molecular test (NAAT/other types), with results obtained within 1 hour, or the RT-PCR test.

Awaluddin said the provision is set forth in the Transportation Ministry's Circular No.77/2021, which amends circular No.74/2021.

"This provision has been carried out properly at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, where all passengers from abroad who have just landed immediately undergo PCR tests at Terminal 3 before going to immigration," Awaluddin said.
