TEMPO.CO, JakartaIndependent aviation research firm Skytrax named Citilink as the world's second-best low-cost carrier that implemented the health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. The subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia Group received the 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating.

“This is proof that the COVID-19 handling through the application of health protocols on air transportation in Indonesia is recognized by the world,” said Transportation Minister Budi Karya in a written statement, Wednesday, September 22, 2021.

The 5-Star Covid-19 Airline Safety Rating from Skytrax is the highest rating given to airlines for implementing the best health protocols during the pandemic. Citilink earned the second-highest score below the Singapore Airline Group's Scoot.

“This rating is a global recognition of Citilink’s excellent health protocols especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.,” said Juliandra.
