TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned gas and oil company Pertamina officially raised the price of its gasoline brand, namely Pertamax Turbo and Pertamina Dex. However, it has not yet adjusted the price of its other fuel brands Pertamax and Pertalite.
The firm’s subsidiary Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary, Putut Andriatno, confirmed his side has not yet raised the selling price of Pertamax and Pertalite in the market.
“It is still being studied by the pricing team. Until now, I have not received an update about it,” said Putut as quoted from Bisnis.com on Monday, September 20.
Putu explained the management had determined the price adjustment for Pertamax Turbo and Pertamina Dex. “The management has not yet decided the price of other products.”
According to him, the price adjustment of non-subsidized fuel brands was first taken in the past 1.5 years, or since the last repricing.
The price of Pertamax Turbo is now set to Rp12,300 per liter and Pertamina Dex at Rp11,150 per liter for regions with the 5 percent fuel tax (PBBKB) from previously Rp9,850 and Rp10,200 per liter, respectively.
“Despite the price adjustments, the prices of Pertamax Turbo and Pertamina Dex are still the most competitive when compared to equivalent products. This adjustment is also in accordance with applicable regulations and is even below the set limit,” Putut concluded.
