Jakarta Records Lowest COVID-19 Daily Cases Since June 2021

TEMPO.CO, JakartaJakarta recorded the lowest daily COVID-19 case number since June 29, 2020, with 91 new infections on Monday, September 21. 

The Head of Disease Prevention and Control of the city’s Health Agency, Dwi Oktavia, said the figure was obtained from the result of PCR tests on 12,877 people.

She recalled that on June 29, 2020, the city detected 95 new cases, and the daily positive cases were always recorded above 100 afterward.

Since September 15, the number of COVID-19 daily cases in the capital city has fluctuated yet continued to decline. On September 15, the Health Agency reported 305 new infections and 3,289 active cases.

On September 16, there were 176 new cases and 3,114 active cases. The numbers dropped to 206 new cases and 2,958 active cases on September 17.

On September 18, the city’s daily case addition was 200 with 2,908 active cases. On September 19, the Health Agency announced 155 new positive cases and 2,879 active cases.

Based on the data records, not only did the number of daily COVID-19 cases see a downward trend but also the number of active cases.
