TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was scheduled to summon Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as a witness in the alleged corruption case of land acquisition in Munjul, East Jakarta, today, September 21.
“That’s right, the investigation team has scheduled to summon witnesses for the suspect YRC and others, including Anies Baswedan (Jakarta Governor) and Prasetyo Edi Marsudi (Chairman of the Jakarta Legislative Council or DPRD),” said KPK spokesman Ali Fikri on Monday, September 20.
Anies will be questioned at the KPK’s Merah Putih Building. Ali confirmed that the status of Anies and Prasetyo is a witness for the needs of the investigation. The KPK hoped that the testimony of the witnesses would shed light on the actions of the suspects.
“The investigation team continues to complete the case files for the suspect YRC and his friends by scheduling the summons and examination of a number of witnesses,” said Ali.
Ali went on to say that the KPK hoped that witnesses would meet the call for questioning.
