TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor Resort Police planned to disperse vehicles heading to Puncak, Bogor regency into three routes in a bid to prevent congestion. This will be a new method applied during the trial of the odd-even traffic policy in the area.
“We will apply a new method. We will divide vehicles heading to Puncak into three routes during the enforcement of the odd-even policy,” said Bogor Police Chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Harun in Bogor, Friday, September 17.
The three routes are the South Sentul Toll Gate with access to Bukit Pelangi Road, the Summarecon Toll Gate passing Cibanon Road, and the Ciawi Toll Gate with access to Jalan Gadog, which is the main road to Puncak.
The system will be adopted in order to prevent vehicles from being concentrated in Gadog. The police will install signs at the three toll gates.
“We will place signs at the three exits of the toll road. The odd-even policy checks will still be carried out on these roads,” said Harun.
The odd-even policy will still be applied on weekends, “while waiting for regulations from the Transportation Ministry,” Harun underlined, adding that the Puncak route is a national road under the authority of the central government.
