TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the Jakarta Health Agency Widyastuti in a written statement on Thursday announced the availability of Moderna and Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines across the city’s healthcare facilities and vaccination centers.

She said Indonesians can register for a vaccination at any healthcare facilities with an official ID Card (KTP) that is directly overseen under the Indonesian Health Ministry. Similar facilities under the management of police and military also serve vaccinations with the two vaccines.

“Healthcare facilities outside of the mentioned can only provide Pfizer vaccines for Indonesian nationals who reside in Jakarta proven by their ID Cards,” her statement reads.

The two vaccine brands are only to be administered for people who have not been vaccinated. The Pfizer vaccine can be given to those aged 12 and above along with pregnant women while the Moderna vaccine can be administered for those aged 18 and above and pregnant women.

Covid-19 vaccines for people who are immunocompromised such as severe comorbidity, autoimmune disease, and patients of immunosuppressant therapy must be accompanied with a doctor’s recommendation.
