TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 1,808,040 doses of Sinovac vaccine arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. This marks the 61st batch of the Covid-19 vaccines received by Indonesia.
"This afternoon, Indonesia received 1,808,040 doses of the ready-to-use Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine through the COVAX Facility," said the Assistant Operations (Asops) of the National Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto as broadcasted on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Tuesday, September 14.
With the addition of today's vaccine, Indonesia currently has more than 243 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines, consisting of ready-to-administer and bulk vaccines.
Imam also emphasized the commitment of the National Police and the military (TNI) to assist in fast-tracking the vaccination program. He said the National Police had deployed 5,371 personnel as vaccinators and set 2,105 outlets.
The number of vaccines that have been distributed to the National Police from February to September 2021 was 36,729,982 doses. While the number of people who have been vaccinated by the police personnel was 22,006,078 people.
