TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as 20 tourist destinations in several big cities in Indonesia have started their opening trials using the PeduliLindungi app. Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) Sandiaga Uno said that his side would monitor the opening process as well as conducting a gradual evaluation.
"This trial will continue to be evaluated every week," said Sandiaga Uno at a press conference, Monday, September 13, 2021.
According to Sandiaga, there are a number of materials that will be evaluated in the opening of the tourist destination, including the strict and disciplined implementation of the CHSE-based health protocol.
"From visitors making reservations, arrivals, to departures," said Sandiaga Uno.
Next is how the manager can determine the crisis point of a possibility in a violation of health protocols or the potential for high transmission in each activity within the destination. "Such as ventilation, because indoor spaces are more risky, so we need to be careful at every point," said Sandiaga Uno.
The evaluation will also target the duration of the activities, the distance between visitors as well as activities in which it is required to touch public objects. "And the fourth and most important thing is how to implement the PeduliLindungi app in controlling it all," he explained.
Currently, there are 2,264 people who have registered or obtained the PeduliLindungi QR code. These recipients consist of bars, cafes, hotels, restaurants, fast food restaurants and tourist destinations located in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang and Surabaya.
The 20 tourist destinations that have been tested to open are Taman Impian Jaya Ancol, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and Betawi Cultural Village Setu Babakan in Jakarta; Taman Safari Indonesia, The Lodge Maribaya, Glamping Lake Rancabali, Kawah Putih, Jbound and Saung Mang Udjo in West Java; Grand Maerakaca Mini Park, Borobudur TWC, Prambanan TWC, Taru Jurug Animal Park, Breksi Cliff Park, Gembira Loka Zoo and Asri Mangunan Pine Forest in Central Java and Yogyakarta as well as Selecta Recreational Park, Jatim Park 2, Hawai Group, Maharani Zoo and Caves in East Java.
Furthermore, according to Sandiaga Uno, the PeduliLindungi app will become the gold standard for activities in various sectors, including tourist destinations and tourist villages. "Kemenparekraf will continue to disseminate and prepare all parties including tourist villages to be able to implement this app later on," he concluded.
