TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Metro Police were reportedly to deploy a total of 580 personnel to tighten the Crowd Free Night rule in the capital city, which is aimed to restrict the mobility of residents at night. The joint personnel is from military (TNI)-police, Satpol PP, transportation department and other related parties.
Jakarta Traffic Police chief Sr. Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo explained that the 580 personnel would be divided into two teams.
“One for large-scale patrol of health protocol compliance in a number of locations considered as the area where violations are often committed. The other team will do the crowd free night patrol in four areas, namely Kemang, SBCD, Asia Afrika, and Sudirman-Thamrin,” he said as stated on Korlantas Polri official website, Saturday, September 11.
The authorities would also continue imposing the odd-even policy once the crowd free night rule is ended. This policy applies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from midnight until 4:00 a.m.
