TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Taman Wisata Candi (TWC) said there are at least four cultural heritage destinations under its management that have received the green light to reopen and operate whilst implementing screening using PeduliLindungi app. The four destinations are: Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java, Prambanan and Ratu Boko Temples in Yogyakarta, and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) in Jakarta.
PT TWC corporate secretary Emilia Eny Utari said on September 8 that the decision on the operating permit was issued by the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment Affairs on Tuesday, September 7.
One of the considerations to allow the reopening of these four destinations is because they have obtained the Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environment Sustainability (CHSE) certificates from the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry. Another reason is because these are outdoor destinations.
"However, we still can't decide when the trial reopening will start, because there are preparations to make, especially the implementation of the PeduliLindung app, which is a prerequisite," said Emilia.
Emilia said they are still waiting for the QR code for scanning the PeduliLindung app, to filter out visitors who has not received the Covid-19 vaccine.
Once they got the QR code, simulations will be held for and the reopening trial would be scheduled.
"Our target is to have the QR code this week so we can immediately run the simulations and opening trials," Emilia said.
